The
top four players based on total league points at the end of the 10 weeks of
league play in each Division will advance to the semifinals. The semifinals will
determine who wins fourth place in each Division. The semis will be played the
week after the regular season is over.
The
remaining three players from each Division will then advance to the finals,
which determines the first, second, and third place winners in each Division.
The finals will be played the week after the semifinals.
All
players in the playoffs will play seven games. If less than seven games are
available for play, then one or more games will have to be played twice. If a
game (or games) develops a serious malfunction (as stated in the League Rules)
during game play then the game will be replayed by all parties (after the
problem has been corrected, if possible, at that time), otherwise a different
game will be played again (from any that haven’t been played twice).
The
first game to be played by both groups will be chosen by the League Commissioner
at random. The starting order for the semifinals will be as follows: The player
who came in fourth after the final week of the regular season is over goes
first, the third place player goes second, the second place player goes third,
and the first place player goes last. After the first game is played, the loser
of the previous game chooses the next game to be played. The winner of the
previous game goes last, the second place scorer goes third, the third place
scorer goes second, and the loser of the previous game goes first. The starting
order for the finals is as follows: The player who came in first in the
semifinals goes last and the second place player in the semifinals goes first.
This second place player also chooses the first game to be played. After the
first game has been played, the choice of next game and the order that the
players go in is as in the semifinals.
A
player comes in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, (and 4th
for the semifinals) based on how many total playoff points he has earned during
the match based on the 3-2-1 point system used during the regular season. Any
ties will be broken by the TNS between the tied players.
The prizes will be as follows:
From the 50% of the total collected dues throughout the course of the season (P)
Division A 1st place receives 35% of P plus a trophy
2nd place receives 27.5% of P plus a trophy
3rd place receives 12.5% of P plus a plaque
4th place receives, as a consolation prize, 50% of the amount of the money that 3rd place A receives
Division B 1st place receives 12% of P, plus a trophy
2nd place receives 8% of P, plus a trophy
3rd place receives 5% of P plus a plaque
4th place receives, as a consolation cash prize, 50% of the amount of the money that 3rd place B receives
